Preparation:

What you need before start 

1. PC or laptop (windows)
2. USB cable
3. Driver
4. Flashtool
5. Firmware (rom)
6. Serial Number Writer Tool (for those who are lost imei number)

Getting started

1. On phone dialer press *#8375#

2. Write down all version summary info and keep it save for future reference

3. Write down your imei number by pressing *#06# and keep it save for imei recovery

Installing Driver

1.On your computer install com port driver for your DZ09 (come with flash tool download above)

2. Open your computer device manager
3. Turn off your DZ09 before connect to the PC via USB cable
4. Connect USB cable
5. Wait till computer installing new com port
6. If it fail to install due to device auto disconnect, disconnect USB cable from device. Run Flashtool.exe

 7. Press Download Agent button, and load file MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin

8. Go to Memory Test tab and check RAM test only. Press start
9. Connect USB cable to device and wait till the pc installing the port automatically.
10. After success installing driver Flashtool will test your ram. Wait till circle green popup. Then disconnect your device. This method is used for holding the port while windows working for driver installation.

Now the driver is already for flashing process.

Firmware Preparation

For firmware i just only need English language. Other language maybe not available. On listed below main language for those firmware was English and Chinese. Otherwise I did`t check yet. And all I already test with my own DZ09. There are many type and version on this model, I tested all and below are the suitable for my DZ09 hardware

After download the firmware, extract the .rar file

Firmware installation

1. Power off your DZ09

2. Open Flashtool.exe

3. On Download tab, hit Download Agent and open  MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin

4. Hit Scatter/Config File and load .cfg file inside firmware folder

5. Select Options, make sure you tick "backup->Download/Format->Restore" on Backup and Restore tab

6. Hit download button

7. Connect USB cable to your device

8. Wait for backup, install and restore process done till GREEN CIRCLE appear. It will take up to 5min to complete all the process. PLEASE DO NOT DISCONNECT THE USB CABLE DURING THE PROCESS TILL IT DONE. IF NOT IT WILL HARD BRICK YOUR DEVICE!!!!

9. Disconnect your USB cable

10. Done, start your smart watch as usual and enjoy

RECOVERING YOUR LOST IMEI

If "no network" state happen to your device even your sim card inserted with a good network coverage area, that mean you may have lost IMEI number. Press *#06# to check. If did`t show your IMEI you need to restore your IMEI by using Serial Number Writer Tool.

How to recover:

1. Download serial number writer tool here.Then extract the file.
2. Run SN Writer.exe
3. Change target type to FEATURE PHONE
   
4. Hit System Config
5. Tick IMEI checkbox and hit MD1_DB
   
6. Select BPL file. BPL file is located in your same firmware folder
   
7. Open BPL file then hit save
8. Turn off your device.
9. Hit Start button and key in your IMEI number that you have write down before or you can find it under the battery cover. Press OK
10. Wait till the status below the progress bar in "Wait for USB insert" state
    
11. Connect USB cable to your device
12. Wait the process done till GREEN PASS
    
13. DONE, hit Cancel then quit the tool.
14. Turn on your DZ09 device then check with *#06# code on your phone dailer.

EXTRA : How to change clock face

1. Make a copy of your rom folder
2. Run mtk resource edit . Download here 
3. Click open then browse your copied rom folder
4. On file type change MTK BIN to ALL FILES
5. Select Rom then open
6. Select Picture TAB then identify your clock face file inside the rom
7. Click WorkDir then find your clock face folder
8. Select clock face file (rom) then select clock face .gif file (clockface folder)
9. Click Import
10. Save your rom by overwrite the copied rom
11. Flash your new modified rom to your device by using above procedure.

Note: Clock face replacement will not change the clock hand. Only background of the clock. Clock face must be in .gif format and the file size is not larger then the clock face of the rom

ALTERNATIVE WAYS TO MAKE BUILD-IN SYSTEM RECOVERY FOR YOUR LAPTOP

Today i would like to share with you in how to make your own built-in system recovery on Win 7 OS.

Intro

As we know, most laptops sold in the market have its own recovery system. For example, the manufacturer Lenovo has called the One-key system recovery. The system has its own disk partition that has been created by the manufacturer.Unfortunately when there is damage to the hard disks such as mechanical damage or electronic systems such as short test failed on the hard disk, the damage is covering the whole partition including the recovery partition. So with no other option we had to buy a new hard drive to replace it. To restore system recovery partition, only the manufacturer can do so. If you have a warranty, send it to them. If your warranty has expired, this is an alternative way to create the recovery partition.

Requirement

Below are things to do before creating system recovery:

• New fresh windows already installed with drivers, software (eg Office, Antivirus and others). Please take note, the more software you install more space you need. just enough basic needs.
• Windows 7 installation disk. If not, create a system repair disc by clicking Start> Control Panels> Backup and Restore> Create a System Repair Disk and burn it. I prefer to use System Repair Disk to reduce space usage.
• Space partition at least 30GB. Depend software that installed on your system
• EasyBCD software

Follow the step below

1. Insert the windows 7 installation disk or system repair disc.
2. Copy all the items in the disk into the system recovery partition.
3. Run EasyBCD. Create boot - New entry> WinPE>Rename boot (eg. Reovery)>Path>Browse Recovery partition>Source>Boot.wim>Open>Add Entry
4. Edit countdown time - Edit Boot Menu > Change time (in sec) > Save Settings
5. Uninstall EasyBCD if you do not need such change countdown time. If you need just leave it.
6. Disconnect the internet connection before making system recovery. Prevent software updates during the process. Close all application.
7. Create system image - Start> Control Panels> Backup and Restore> Create a System Image
8. Tick On a Hard Drive. Select recovery partition and System partition only (eg. C: Drive)
9. Wait till finish . (20-30min) depend on your system. Done

How to protect the recovery partition from the user accidently modified (eg edit, delete and format) the partition:

1. Right-click on recovery partition > Properties > Security > Edit > Set all permission  user account include administrator to READ-ONLY > OK
2. Right-click My computer > Manage > Disk Management > Right-click Recovery Partition > Change drive letter and path > Remove.

Now you have your own system recovery. No need to bring your recovery disk or windows installer.If the system partition windows corrupted or want to re-format the windows partition, just boot into recovery and load a system image system that you have created earlier. No need to install drivers one by one and application.
